The Hereward Tower
The Hereward Tower is an exciting regeneration project at the heart of Peterborough's vibrant city centre. Its 33 stunning apartments over 7 floors offer stunning views for miles in every direction. I was lucky enough to be asked to design the branding for the project, as well as billboards, window graphics, adverts, floorplans and a brochure to support the fantastic development in the city.
I was honoured to be asked to design the branding and marketing collateral for a new development in Peterborough – Fletton Quays. I designed a logo for the project, as well as a brochure, exhibition boards, adverts, billboards, posters and letterhead stationery.
Comberton Academy Trust
Comberton Academy Trust seeks to ensure 'Excellence For All' across all of their academies in Cambridgeshire: Comberton Village College & Sixth Form, Melbourn Village College, Cambourne Village College and The Voyager Academy & Sixth Form. I worked with the trust to create a design style for the schools' prospectus' which would ensure consistency across the board, as well as a Trust folder that could be used on Open Evenings etc.
Sustrans' Active Explorer
I worked closely with Sustrans, a UK charity promoting sustainable transport, on a new campaign called "Active Explorer" which encouraged families to walk, cycle, skate or scoot to popular visitor attractions in their local area. I developed a fun brand for the project before designing maps, posters, flyers and scorecards to support the campaign.
PECT Annual Report
PECT is an independent charity that works to create a cleaner, greener, healthier Peterborough. I worked with the marketing team to produce the annual report at the end of 2014 – condensing the facts and figures into easy to read infographics, supported by bold colours and simple illustrations throughout.
Peterborough DNA is a fantastic programme, being delivered by Opportunity Peterborough and Peterborough City Council, which looks to develop and test innovative ideas for how smart, future-proofed cities could work. I was asked to design a Prezi to promote the programme, outlining key statistics for growth, innovation and sustainability. The Prezi zooms in and out of a neighbourhood illustration, highlighting key areas for development in the city.
I was asked by Green Ventures to create a Prezi for their 'Accelerated Collaboration' platform – a process for designing better, faster solutions for complex places – aligning data and compressing it into a simple visual model that is easy to understand. The Prezi needed to reflect this simplicity so I created icons and infographics to support short statements which together, explain the whole process.
After the success of Peakirk 2025, I was asked to design the branding, posters, infographics and postcards to promote the launch of the Neighbourhood Plan for Glinton village too. I designed a simple logomark featuring the iconic Glinton church, renowned for its tall steeple, before creating a set of marketing materials to get the villagers talking about the future developments.
Martin Bacon Ale
I was honoured to be asked to design the beer bottle label for 'Martin Bacon Ale – MBA' which was brewed in memory of the late Cambridgeshire headteacher, Martin Bacon who sadly lost his life at aged 46 after suffering with a brain tumour. The golden ale was brewed locally by the Star Brewing Company with help from some of his closest friends and I was delighted to be able to design the artwork for the bottle.
Sustain Lincolnshire offer free specialist support to help Lincolnshire businesses reduce their resource consumption, cut costs and increase competitiveness. After the success of Sustain Lincolnshire 2013, I worked with the team to create new marketing material for the second stage of the project. I designed a series of banners and posters along with a refreshed stationery set to help with the successful delivery of the support on offer.
Peakirk’s future development is being determined through the creation of a Neighbourhood Plan. I was asked to design posters, infographics and postcards to promote the launch of the Neighbourhood Plan and to get people talking about the future of the village.
Ormiston Bushfield Academy
I was asked to design the Ormiston Bushfield Academy Sixth Form prospectus for 2013-2014. The academy requested a vibrant, modern design with a selection of infographics incorporated into the editorial piece to make the information easy to digest and striking to read.
British Soft Drinks
I worked on a design project for the British Soft Drinks Association ahead of an event held at the end of 2013. I designed a booklet outlining the work that the association do, as well as a selection of pop up banners and a series of local and regional infographics showing key stats about the industry.
I worked with custom tennis racket business – Angell Sport – to develop a refreshed stationery set, along with partnership brochures and racket-build information documents. The marketing material now follows a consistent style that is clean and fresh, and really helps to enhance the products on offer.
I was asked to create a logo for Peterborough Environment City Trust on behalf of “Green Drinks” – a social networking organisation which creates events for environmental professionals. I incorporated a simple leaf illustration inside a wine glass to create a striking logomark that will be instantly recognisable to environmental professionals.
Brand creation and development for estate agents, Finest Properties Ltd – a new property firm based in the North-East of England. In the first instance, I was asked to design a logo, a set of brand guidelines, stationery, property boards, a website holding page and office signage to help establish the brand, before developing this into property brochures, adverts, flyers and other supporting material.
I was asked by Peterborough Environment City Trust to create an identity for the annual Green Festival which showcases everything that is fun and exciting about being green. I then created posters, adverts and a brochure to support the event.
I was asked by Keta to create a simple logo design that incorporated her initials to form a classic identity which could be used on business cards, her website and also as a watermark across her photographs. I used a timeless, serif typeface and merged the letters "K" and "P" to design a logomark which she could use across all marketing material.
